MTN Set To Roll Out 4G LTE BroadBand Service By July 2016
Just like I said in one of my previous posts, MTN is really giving it all it take to win back all their customers and they are not relenting at all. And MTN has just taken this to another level by officially announcing that it will be rolling out its Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution (4GLTE) broadband services latest by July 2016 in selected cities, using the 800MHz frequency acquired from Visafone Ltd earlier this year.
According to The chief executive officer, MTN, Mr Fedinand Moolman, he stated that "the main reason MTN acquired Visafone was to get access to the frequency which would allow it roll out LTE. He said that MTN has started the process to migrate all the Visafone subscribers onto its network so that they can clean up the frequency and start rolling out LTE".
I think this is really a good news for both the MTN users and also the Visafone users. You can imagine finally upgrading from 3.75g to the long awaited 4g LTE network, So if you happen to be a visafone and you haven't upgraded your sim yet, then this might be the best time to do that.
This is really going to put MTN on another level entirely compared to its other competitors. Its also going to be a big blow and a great competition to NTEL considering how badly Ntel managed their launch and the sim distribution in general. So if you feel the Ntel data plans and their fair usage is too expensive for you or you just need a better and probably cheaper alternative then the wait is almost over.
Nice one
