How To Root And Install Twrp On Infinix Hot 4 X557

Good news for all infinix hot 4 users. The problem of being unable to root your phone is now finally over. Most times, rooting Android phones running on newer firmwares can be very difficult as it takes sometime for one click root apps to get the right exploit and Infinix hot 4 happens to be one of those phones.  

So the only option left is to root manually but this can't be done without a custom recovery. All thanks to the guys at Infinix mobility for porting a twrp recovery for this device, now you can get over the problem of rooting your phone.  

So in this post I will be providing a detailed guide on how to flash the custom recovery and also how to install SuperSU.zip through recovery to gain root access.

Requirements:

A PC With Vcom driver installed. Check out guide here.

2. Sp Flash tool. Download here.

3. TWRP Recovery for Hot 4. Download here.

4. Super Su . Download here.

5. USB Cord.

6. Of course your infinix hot 4.

How To Flash Twrp Recovery To Your Infinix Hot 4 X557.

=> Extract both the downloaded twrp and sp flash tool into two separate folders on your desktop.

=> Open the extracted sp flash tool folder and launch "flash tool.exe"

=> Click on scatter loading at the top right corner.

=> Locate the folder of the extracted twrp and open the scatter.txt file.

=> Click on download at the top right corner of sp flash tool.

=> Turn off your phone and connect it to the PC.

=> Just wait until the installation is completed and you should see the green circle.

Now you can go ahead and disconnect your phone. That's the first step guys. After installing the twrp recovery, the next thing is to install the SuperSU.zip. Just follow the guide below on how to do so.

How To Root Infinix Hot 4 X557.

=> First, supers.zip from this Link and copy it to your sd card.

=> Turn off your phone and reboot into recovery by holding down your power button and vol+.

=> From the recovery menu option, click on install.

=> Navigate to your sd card, select SuperSU.zip and click on install.

=> Just wait until the installation is completed, then you can go ahead and reboot your phone.

=> Congratulations!! You have just rooted your phone.
