Latest Chrome for Android lets you save music, videos and Full webpages for offline viewing
Popular web browser, Google chrome has just released a new version which is the Chrome 55 (55.0.2883.84) for Android. The latest version is focused majorly on performance, memory, stability fixes as well as different ways to save webpages for offline viewing.
The updated chrome browser features a new "Download" icon which can be found on Chrome's overflow menu. With the new download button, you can now save a full webpage including the layout, text and images for offline viewing.
You can also use the new download button to directly download media files like musics, videos and images for offline viewing. Unfortunately, this won't work for YouTube videos. Although you can download and save YouTube web pages for offline viewing, you can't play the videos offline.
You will also see a side menu which will list out all your downloaded files, file types and also your storage usage.
Aside the new offline and download feature, the latest Chrome version 55 will also highlight all misspelled words in text fields and Improvements to contextual search UI If you still haven't received the new build, give it a day or two and it will roll out your way via Google Play.
