Glo has Just Slashed their Data Volume by 50%. Check Out the New Glo Data Plans

I don't know who is advising Glo, but this thier latest decision might actually affect the telcomunication giant badly. Glo actually surprised everyone yesterday when they decided to slash their data volume by 50% at the same rate.

Most of the people I know who are using the Glo Internet subscription are actually doing so not for any other reason but because of how affordable it is. With Glo's poor network coverage and now this new data plans, I doubt if a lot of people will consider subscribing for any other plan of theirs.

Below is the list of Glo's old and new tariff plans with their price and data volume.

Old Glo data Plans
>> N500 = 1.6GB 7days
>> N1000 = 3.2GB 30days
>> N2000 = 7.5GB 30 days
>> N2500 = 10GB 30days
>> N3000 = 12GB 30days

Current Glo Data Plans
>> N500 = 800MB
>> N1000 = 1.6GB
>> N2000 = 3.7GB
>> N2500 = 5GB

>> N3000 = 6GB

Personally, I just think this might be NCC's indirect way of implementing the new data rate which they failed at last year. That's just my own opinion though, let me know what you guys think in the comment section below.
