Gmail App for iOS and Android Receives Gboard GIF Support

Emoji used to be the best way of expressing your self on social media platforms and messaging apps. But now, it looks like gif is the new emoji as apps like WhatsApp and Facebook are already implementing it.

The Gboard's GIF search function has been gaining lots of attention for some time now as apps like Facebook and WhatsApp has already added supported for animated Gifs. Now Gmail has decided to follow that same path.

While most of us might not see the need for this new update as our email is used mostly for official messages, spicing up some of our emails​ with a few GIFs doesn't sound bad at all.

The update has already rolled out to iOS users and Android users will start getting​ the update pretty soon.
