Instagram Update Now Supports Portrait and Landscape Images

A new version of Instagram app has just been released for both android and iOS users. The new version comes with a lot of new features and improvements which focus majorly on improving the Instagram direct feature.

Instagram direct now allows you to send image in both portrait and landscape format. Now there won't be any need for you to crop anymore when you send a permanent video or picture using the direct feature in the camera roll.

Also, the new update brings support for links in Instagram direct. Which means if you send a website link to family and friends through direct, they will now be able to preview it directly from the conversation without using any third party browser. Same is also applicable to addresses and phone no.

While the links in direct message feature is available for both android and iOS users, the portrait and landscape image orientation is available for only iOS users at the moment but it's expected to roll out to android users soon.
