Skype Now let's You Send and Receive Money Through the App Using PayPal

Skype has just worked out a new relationship with PayPal which now makes it possible for Skype users to send and receive money directly from the app with the use of PayPal payment service.

This new feature is now available to all Skype users on both Android and iOS platform and at the moment, you can only get to use this service in 22 countries which are the United States of America, Canada, UK (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man) Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

To use this service, you will first need to confirm your location within the Skype app after which you will be asked to link your PayPal account to your Skype. Note that before you can be able to send money with this new feature, you must be using the latest Skype version.

To send money with your Skype, make sure you are in the latest version, While you are in conversation with a person, select the Find option at the top bar and choose Send money >> Choose the amount of money and confirm the payment.

Note that this new feature can only be used to send money to family and friends and not to make payments for goods and services.
