Instagram will Now Show Recommended Posts on your Feed from Users you do not follow
About two weeks ago, Instagram released a new feature which lets users follow their favourite hashtags. This way, you can follow things that interest you, instead of just following people. Now, Instagram has just released another new feature whereby you will be receiving posts in a new section called "recommended for you".
Posts you will see on this section will be mostly from users you don't follow. Instagram will make the recommendations based on posts liked by users who you already follow. Also, the new "recommended for you" section will contain three to five posts at a time.
Unlike the previously introduced hashtag feature which lets you opt in and out anytime you want, this new "recommended for you" can't be disabled so you are stuck with it.
At the moment, the update is currently rolling out to iOS and android users globally. You can check your respective app store to know if the update is currently available for you.
