Asus ZenFone 3 Max Starts Receiving Android 8.1 Oreo and ZenUI 5.0

Asus has started rolling out a second major update for it's 2016 smartphone which is the Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL). The device which was announced in November of 2016 was shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and was updated to Android 7 Nougat last year.

Now, Asus has started pushing out the Android 8.1 Oreo update for the Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL . This is the second major update the phone is receiving and it's rolling out along with the new ZenUI 5.0.

The new version 15.0200.1807.406 comes packed with the standard Android 8.1 Oreo features along with some other major improvements. The update has already started rolling out via OTA but in case you haven,t received the update notification yet, then you can manually check by simply heading over to Settings >> About >> System Update.
