Huawei is currently testing Android 9 Pie on four of its Smartphones
The latest generation of the Android OS which is the Android 9.0 Pie has just been recently released. The update has already been rolled out for Pixel and essential phone users, while a few other smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, OnePlus 6 etc are expected to receive the update soon.
Sony recently announced Six of its smartphones that will receive the Android Pie update starting from September of this year 2018 and HTC also took to its Twitter page to announce the four HTC smartphones that will receive the Android 9 Pie update.
Now, a Huawei official has just confirmed via a Weibo post that the developers' team is currently testing the Android Pie on four devices.
According to a recent post by Huawei's president of mobile division, he confirmed that the company's developer team is currently testing the Android 9 Pie via a closed beta program on four of Huawei's flagship smartphones.
The name of the four smartphones are;
>> Huawei Mate 10 Pro
>> Huawei P20
>> Honor 10
>> Honor V10
The Huawei official also stated that the Android 9 Pie update won't be limited to just the four smartphones mentioned above as the update will be made available to more Huawei devices in the future.
For now, there is no information on when the update will start rolling out but considering the fact that Huawei devices is running on EMUI which is a customized version of Android, it might take sometime before the Android 9 Pie is optimised for EMUI and eventually pushed out to users.
