Huawei kicks off EMUI 9 Beta based on Android 9 Pie for 9 Smartphones
Just few days after Google officially unveiled the Android Pie, Huawei announced that most of its newer flagship smartphones will receive the Android 9 Pie update starting from September of this year.
Huawei has however just kicked off the beta program for the EMUi 9 based on Android 9.0. This is just the beta testing before the official update starts rolling out. The EMUI 9 beta will be rolled out to 9 Huawei and Honour devices.

The EMUI 9 Beta testing is only limited to just 1500 beta testers and it's China exclusive. The beta program is expected to commence in the first week of September through the end of September.
To participate in the EMUI 9 beta program, you need to have an eligible Huawei or Honor device which is not rooted. Then you have to sign up for the Huawei Club and opt in for the beta.
