Six (6) Sony Xperia Smartphones Confirmed to receive the Android 9 Pie Update by September

Google officially announced the latest generation of the Android OS on the 7th of August and it's called the Android 9 Pie. Even though it's less than a week since the Android 9 was released, Google Pixel and Essential users have already received the stable update.

Xiaomi has already kicked off the beta version of the Android 9 for the Mix 2s and Huawei has equally commenced a closed beta testing of the Android 9 for four of its smartphones which are the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10, and Honor V10.

Now, just like HTC, Sony has also announced the first six (6) of its Xperia smartphones that will receive the Android 9 Pie update. According to the company, the update will start rolling out by September and the last of the six devices will receive the update by November of 2018.

Below are the six (6) Sony Xperia smartphones officially confirmed to receive the Android 9 Pie update before the end of the year.

>> Xperia XZ2 Compact

>> Xperia XZ2 Premium

>> Xperia XZ1

>> Xperia XZ1 Compact

>> Xperia XZ Premium

The other smartphone manufacturers involved in the Android Beta Project will also commence the Android 9 Pie update rollout soon. This includes OnePlus, HMD Global, Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo.
