Until now, getting verified on Instagram used to be very difficult as the verification access was only exclusive to celebrities, public figure, global brands and entities. Now, Instagram has simplified the process and also made it open to everyone.

The Instagram blue badge which appears beside names of celebrities, brands and public figures proves that the account is verified and helps prevent against impersonators and fake accounts. 

Instagram has made requesting for the blue badge so easy that you can request for it directly from the app. Even though the procedure is now open to everyone, your account still won't be verified unless Instagram believes your account has a high chance of being impersonated.

However, below is the simple guide on how to request for the Instagram verified account on your Android or iPhone.

How to request for Instagram verified page

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your Android or iPhone and click on your profile.

Step 2: Navigate to the Settings

Step 3: Scroll down and click on Request Verification

Step 4: Input your full name and a form of identification such as National ID card, driver's license, International passport or any other government issued ID card

Step 5: After that, just click on send.

Once you are done with all that, Instagram will have to review your application and you will be notified if your request was approved or denied.

The review process can actually take a couple of days or weeks.
