Sony Xperia XZ2 starts receiving the Android 9.0 Pie Update
Sony has now joined the likes of OnePlus, HMD global, Essential phone and Google Pixel as the Japanese smartphone manufacturer has started rolling out the stable Android Pie update to one of its flasgship smartphones.
The update which comes with build number 52.0.A.3.27 has started rolling out to Xperia XZ2 users Via OTA. The update is rolling out in batches so it will take sometime before it eventually gets to all users and regions.
The new Android Pie update for Xperia XZ2 is 1GB in size and it comes with the standard Android Pie features as well as the latest October security patch. Once you receive the update notification, make sure your phone is charged and you are connected to a stable WiFi network before you proceed with the update.
Beside the Xperia XZ2, other Sony smartphones expected to receive the update in the future are Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA2 Plus, Xperia XA2, and Xperia XA2 Ultra.
