Nokia 8 Sirocco starts receiving Android 9 Pie update

HMD Global which is the company behind the new range of Nokia smartphones has just kicked off the Android 9 Pie update rollout for the Nokia 8 Sirroco. The update has already started rolling out Globally.

The update was actually delayed a bit as some other Nokia smartphones like the Nokia 7 Plus, 6.1, 6.1 Plus, and 7.1 have all received the Oreo update. The good thing is that Nokia is finally keeping to its promise of at least two major updates for all of its smartphones.

The new Android Pie update for the Nokia 8 Sirocco is about 1.4GB in size. It comes with a couple of Android Pie features like the Adaptive Battery, new system navigation based on predictions and suggestions, as well as Digital Wellbeing functionality and app actions. It also features the December security patch.
