How to unlock Bootloader on all Xiaomi Device (Redmi and Mi series) with Mi Unlock tool, New method
Xiaomi is currently one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. The company is currently ranked among bigger players like Samsung, Huawei, Oppo and Apple in terms of smartphone sales. Xiaomi's success is mostly due to the company's affordable smartphones as well its MIUI custom Android Skin.
Aside providing customers with affordable smartphones, Xiaomi also cares a lot about user's privacy and security, this is the reason Xiaomi always locks the bootloader of all it's smartphones out of the box. This will help protect user data from intruders in case of stolen or misplaced phone. With a locked bootloader, users can not flash ROMs or boot into recovery to perform a factory reset.
However if you want to flash custom or stock ROMs on your Xiaomi phone, Xiaomi allows users to unlock the bootloader on their phones. With an unlocked bootloader, users can flash custom ROMs, custom kernels, Install Custom Recoveries, Grant root access, etc. The process of unlocking bootloader on Xiaomi smartphones use to be long and tedious as you have to apply and wait for unlock permission, but now the process has been simplified.

"Note:- After you unlock the device, it will become less secure. Your personal data might be leaked or lost. Unlocking your device bootloader is not advised unless you know what you are doing. So Please proceed at your own risk, and you are hold responsible for your own device."
