OnePlus releases the Android Q Beta and kernel source code for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro
OnePlus just announced today that it has released the Kernel source code for the recently launched OnePlus 7 Pro and it's available on GitHub. Aside that, the company also announced that the latest Android Q beta 3 build is now available for both the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro.
This is still a very early beta build with a lot of bugs, so the ROM is targeted at developers and early adopters. Since this is an early build , users will experience a couple of bugs which have been listed below.
Known Issues
- Ambient Display is not working
- System stability issues
- Cannot send SMS when VoLTE is on
- Navigation gesture is not working
- Recovery mode doesn't work
- Some apps may not function as expected when running on this Developer preview release
- Issue with MTP that doesn't allow you to copy rollback file from PC to Phone
If you think you can live the bugs listed above and still want to install the Android Q beta on your OnePlus 7/Pro smartphone, Just make sure you have at least 3GB free space on your device and a minimum of 30% battery life.
