Xiaomi Redmi K20 (Mi 9T) and K20 Pro (Mi 9T Pro) officially launched - Full specifications and price in Nigeria, India, Europe

After all the teasers, leaks and rumour specs, Xiaomi's sub brand Redmi has just officially announced its latest smartphone which is the Redmi K20 and K20 pro. The regular K20 is a budget smartphone with mid-range specs while the K20 Pro is packed with flagship specifications at a very affordable rate.
In terms of display,both phones sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 403 ppi density and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It also has a 91.9 percent screen to body ratio thanks to its pop-up camera mechanism which houses the front facing shooter and that means no notch or camera cutout on the screen. Xiaomi has also introduced in-display fingerprint reader which is the first for the Redmi brand and also a hardware DC dimming support.



The K20 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's top of the line snapdragon 855 chipset with an octa-core processor and an Adreno 640 GPU. The device comes in 4 different memory configurations which are  6GB RAM + 128GB storage,  6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, none of them supports SD Card. It will also run on the latest MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
The K20 on the other hand is powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 730 chipset with an octa-core processor and Adreno 613 GPU, this makes it one of the first smartphones to use this chipset. Unlike the K20 pro, the cheaper K20 is available in 3 memory configurations which are  6GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, all of which doesn't support external SD card. It will also run on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box.

In terms of camera, both phones feature a triple rear camera setup with  an f/1.75 lens 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 13-megapixel secondary shooter with a wide-angle lens, and a third 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.4 lens. While the K20 pro has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor which lets it shoot 4k videos at 60fps the K20 on the other hand has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor which limits 4k video recording to just 30fps. The devices also comes with a single 20MP front facing camera which is hidden in a pop-up mechanism in other to achieve the bezeless design.



The battery capacity is a massive 4000mAh lithium battery with fast charge support. The K20 comes with a 18W fast charger while the K20 pro is packed with a 27W fast charger in the box with Qualcomm's QC 4.0 support. Other features includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and also a 3.5mm audio jack.

As far as pricing goes, the new Redmi K20 Pro will start at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,200) in China for the 6GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB will go for  CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 26,200), the 8GB + 128GB will sell for CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 28,200), while the 8GB + 256GB variant will retail at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,200).

The regular Redmi K20 on the other hand will start at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,200) for the 6GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB will sell for  CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 21,200) and the 8GB + 256GB variant will retail for CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 26,200). Both phones will be available in Glacier Blue, Flame Red, Carbon Black color options.
