Huawei Mate 20 series devices start receiving EMUI 9.1 update
Huawei recently announced the last set of smartphones that will be receiving the EMUI 9.1 update for the month of June. This includes all premium Mate 20 devices which are the
Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and Porsche-design Mate 20 RS. This means out of all the 5 Mate 20 series devices available the update has started rolling out to 4 devices leaving out the Mate 20 Lite.
The new EMUI 9.1 is also based on the Android 9.1 Pie just like the EMUI 9, but it comes with some new features and improvements like a more optimized experience including a new file system, EROFS, and GPU Turbo 3.0 with support for 25 games which reduces battery consumption and also improves gaming stability as well as higher frame rates. The moon mode which was introduced in the P30 series has also been added to the camera app in this new update.
A total of 49 Huawei and Honor phones are scheduled to receive EMUI 9.1 update and as we are rounding up the month of June, 14 more Huawei phones are expected to get this update in the month of July.
