Gmail app for Android now has dark mode
One of the main focus of Google's latest Android 10 is system wide dark mode, but even before the Android 10 was released, Google has been rolling out the dark mode to some of its app and the latest app in Google's collection to receive the dark mode is Gmail.
Google has started rolling out the dark mode to the Gmail app. This is a server side update so you should receive the update anytime soon as long as you are on the latest Gmail Version 2019.08.18.267044774.
Just like other Google apps that has received the dark mode, you get there options on the Gmail app which are light, dark and system default.
Only a few people have received the new dark mode feature for now. To check if it has already been rolled to your own Gmail app, just tap on the three-line hamburger menu icon on the top left corner of the screen, Scroll down and tap on Settings > General settings.
