Huawei Mate 20 devices now receiving Android 10 based EMUI 10 update

Last month, Huawei kicked off the closed beta EMUI 10 program for the Mate 20 series. This comprises of the  Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design.

Now, Huawei has just announced that the open beta EMUI 10 update is now available for the four Mate 20 devices mentioned above. The EMUI 10 is based on the latest Google Android 10.

Aside from the Huawei mate devices, the update is also being rolled out to four honor devices but it's being rebranded as Magic UI 3.0. The names of the four Honor devices are Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, Honor V20, and Honor Magic 2.

This update is currently being rolled out to the Chinese users first, but it is expected to roll out globally in the coming weeks. Going by the official update schedule, the smartphones next in line to receive the EMUI 10 open beta update are the Huawei Enjoy 9S, Huawei Maimang 8 (Huawei Mate 30 Lite), Honor 10 Lite and the Honor 20i.
