Huawei P30 and P30 Pro now receiving latest EMUI 10 based on Android 10

The Huawei P30 and the P30 Pro are finally joining the ever growing list of Android smartphones receiving the Google's latest Android 10. This is through Huawei's own EMUI 10 skin.

According to a post on the company's official Weibo account, the update will first roll out to users in China first before hitting other regions. The newest EMUI 10 with the version number 10.0.0.166 is currently being pushed to Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro users in China only.

Going by Huawei's roadmap, the update will be available in other regions in the coming weeks or even days. The EMUI 10 comes with a new UX design as well as better performance. It also comes with other features like dark mode, upgraded magazine lock screen and multicolour Always on Display (AOD).

If you are in China and you have not received the update notification yet, you can manually check by heading over to the HiCare App > Services > then click on Upgrade. Do note that the update file is 1GB in size for beta users and a whopping 5GB for regular users. So make sure you free up enough space and also run the update on a stable WI-FI network.
