Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G full specifications and price in Nigeria India Europe Kenya

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G is the 5G version of the Redmi K30 that was launched a few days ago. Both phones share the same design and very similar specifications except for a few differences especially in terms of chipset and 5G support.

Unlike the Redmi K20 which comes with an Amoled display, the Redmi K30 uses a much cheaper IPS LCD display but with a faster 120Hz refresh rate instead of the traditional 60Hz used on most smartphones. This is also the first Redmi smartphone to use a 120Hz refresh rate display. The display has a resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels and a 20:9 refresh rate.

The Redmi K30 5G is powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 765G chipset which has an integrated 5G modem to give the phone 5G support. The phone is also backed by a 6GB or 8GB RAM. It also comes with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage options which can be expanded via the hybrid SDcard slot.

In terms of camera, the device has a quad rear camera setup with a primary 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens with 120 degrees Field of View, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor modules. The Redmi K30 5G is the first smartphone to use the Sony IMX686 64MP sensor. In the front is a dual camera with a 20MP main lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Redmi K30 5G has a 4500mAh battery with support for up to 30W fast charging with the fast charger included in the box. The phone is available in Blue, Red, Purple and White colour options.

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G will go on sale next month which is January of 2020 at the starting price of 1,999 Yuan ($285) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, 2,299 Yuan ($325) for the 6GB / 128GB variant, the more expensive 8GB / 128GB version will go for 2,599 Yuan ($370) while the most expensive 8GB RAM / 256GB version will cost 2,899 Yuan ($412).
